best high end mouse

As a PC gamer, it is important to have good gear, as it helps you facilitate your gaming. Don’t get me wrong you don’t need the best gear for gaming because let’s be honest it’s pretty expensive.

Some people have the budget to spend on a high-end gaming mouse. This is the goal of this article. We picked these mouse specifically for those types of gamers.

These mouses are expensive because they offer next level features, some of them are fully customizable, I’m not talking about macros, the mouse itself is modifiable. Some have interchangeable grips, which is perfect for every type of grip.

One of my favorite features is the adjustable weight tuning system, most of our pick has it, depending on your play style you can add up weight, or you can lower it.

Like I mentioned above this article is not for everyone has these mice are expensive. High-end gear might not be popular as standard equipment because it is not accessible to everyone, but we wanted to make a compilation for those high-end warriors out there.

Editor’s Pick: We went for the big shot, our winner is Mad Catz R.A.T. PRO X Ultimate Gaming Mouse. We picked it not only for its look but for what it offers, an incredible amount of customization. As a gamer, we are always looking for new options.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the 2018-09-24 at 02:09 and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.

To start this list we have the G9x Laser Mouse is one of the most customizable Logitech mice with interchangeable grips, weight tuning, and custom color LED display. I will be honest this mouse is very expensive. But it’s worth it.

What I found awesome about this mouse is the interchangeable grips, I find this concept great because we all have different play style and this mouse allows you to adopt your style.

This mouse does not offer a very high DPI level. It goes from 200 to 5000 DPI, don’t get me wrong 5000 DPI is still a lot you will be able to play your favorite game. It has an on-the-fly DPI switching button for that quick access.

This mouse has one of my favorite option, the weight adjustment tuning system. Whether you want a lighter mouse for quick movement or a heavier mouse for more accuracy you can switch it at will.

Microsoft SideWinder Gaming Mouse

A classic gaming mouse from Microsoft that has a lot of thought and features worked into its design where even the accessory box works as a cable anchor to keep things the way you want.

The Microsoft SideWinder has five programmable buttons for you to modify to your liking. It only has up to 2000 DPI, it’s pretty low for a high-end gaming mouse, but don’t worry this mouse is still very precise with an on-the-fly DPI switching.

An interesting feature about this mouse is the LCD display which is located on the mouse. DPI settings and macro recording icons are displayed on the mouse to reduce on-screen interference. It also has adjustable weight for you to choose the perfect one for you.

Mad Catz aims to make the “ultimate gaming mouse” more than just a title. Interchangeable sensors, adjustable rests, variable friction skis, the R.A.T. Pro X lets you change everything about your mouse to have the ultimate custom experience.

As I call it the “transformer” mouse, not only does it look like one but you can modify pretty much everything on it. There are ten programmable buttons and nine modes which add up to 90 Programmable Commands, which is an incredible amount for a mouse.

Swappable Sensors-Interchangeable modules let you employ a laser sensor or optical sensor and trade them at will, depending on which is your preferred sensor.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the 2018-09-24 at 00:39 and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.

Once again Mad Catz aims to give you as much customization as they can. While not as rebuildable and adjustable as the R.A.T. PRO X, the R.A.T. 9 offers a vast amount of options to make your wireless gaming mouse mold to your hand.

Unlike the last pick, this one only has six programmable buttons, still enough to play your favorite game. A little less DPI than the previous pick this one goes up to 6400 DPI which is still a very high setting.

Again one of my favorite feature, the custom weight system, add or subtract up to five 6-gram weights to obtain the perfect weight. This mouse even offers a wireless option if you ever feel like it, which is a small plus.

Specifications
  • Up to 6400 DPI

Cons
  • Battery life a concern due to wireless nature
  • Battery can be awkward to remove

ROCCAT Nyth Gaming Mouse

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the 2018-09-24 at 02:09 and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.

The ROCCAT Nyth is designed with MMO and MOBA gaming in mind as well as the sort of person who likes to tweak and change everything. Not content to let you change side grips and the thumb buttons, ROCCAT invites you to go as far as 3D printing custom buttons to truly make your mouse unique.

Up to 12,000 DPI which you can customize via the ROCCAT software, all depending on your personal taste. It also has 12 tactile mechanical buttons, which you can create macros or even rebind your favorite keys, using the SWARM software.

What I like about this mouse is the interchangeable thumb buttons, you can transform your mouse for any types of game, MMO , FPS and even a MOBA mouse. I love mouses who offer a lot of customization and this one goes to the next level.

Specifications
  • Up to 12000 DPI
  • Custom Button Layout Modular
  • 12 tactile mechanical buttons.
  • 4.2 ounces
  • 5 x 3 x 1.5 inches
Pros
  • Ergonomic hot swappable side grips for adjusting grip
  • Thumb button area is modular, you can individually place up to 12 tactile mechanical buttons
  • Roccat supports 3d printing for creating custom buttons
  • Buttons can be rearranged for larger MMO play or fewer buttons for MOBA/FPS play
Cons
  • Roccat’s Swarm software can be a little buggy
  • Removing buttons can be tricky
  • 3d printing of buttons is likely more of a gimmick than a selling point

Conclusion

These gaming mouses might not be for everyone has their price is pretty high, there’s a reason to that. Sure some of them offer similar options has their lesser version, the difference is some of them offer next level customization as well as higher quality builds.
