First up is this GeForce offering from ASUS. ASUS is an excellent brand in the GPU world. And as we’ve discussed this is one area in which the brand does matter.
Buying from a reputable manufacturer is crucial. If you buy this card, you’ll know that you’re getting exactly what the card says it can do. There’s no exaggeration. In the computing world, this is imperative.
This card offers 2GB of GDDR5 RAM, as opposed to the older DDR3 type. This card makes it faster and more efficient than previous models, and as a result, you get much more bang for your buck.
I had no problem playing FarCry 3 as well as Counter-Strike, and I got decent FPS out of both. So if you like to play reasonably demanding FPS games, as well as slower-paced Strategy games, then this card might really suit you.
Offers “dual cooling” this stops the card overheating and means you can play for longer and at a higher intensity.
The installation instructions for this GPU aren’t particularly clear. I’m not the only one who had this problem either. This GPU won’t be an issue if you’re experienced at building PCs, but this is an entry-level GPU.
So most of the people who buy it are likely to be first, or second-time computer builders. This means that most people who look at the instructions will probably find them unclear. If this is your first time installing a GPU, this might put you off, and I couldn’t blame you if it did.
Many advanced users enjoy overclocking their GPUs in order to get better performance. You can’t really do this with the 750 due to the software. If you’re used to overclocking your GPU this could annoy you, and you might prefer a card which you can tweak a little more easily.

This card comes with a Base Clock: 1176 MHz, and 2GB of GGDR5 RAM. This means it’s pretty quick if you’re looking to play decent level games like World of Warcraft or League of Legends this card might suit you fine.
This card is a little more expensive than the model listed above but is still excellent value. Easy to install, this is a nice touch, as installation can be confusing for newbies. If this is your first time installing a GPU, you might like this card.
You’re recommended to use at least a 400W Power Supply with this GPU. For most gamers, this won’t be a problem, but if your PC is a little older, you might end up having to buy a new PSU as well in order to run this GPU properly.
The card isn’t particularly compelling, although it’s not going to be in this kind of price range. So if you’re looking to play games in 4k, or demanding games at a high FPS then you might need to spend a little more money.
Overall though, this is an excellent GPU and well worth the money. You just need to decide whether it fits your needs.

This is another nice little card. Providing 2GB of fast GDDR5 RAM. This card is a little more expensive than the other two cards in this price category, but in my opinion is well worth the money.
Whether you want to spring for it will depend on your budget, if you can afford to pay a little more, then it might well be worth it as you’ll notice the difference in frame rate while playing. If not, then you might want to get one of the cheaper options.
This card has excellent cooling. If you like playing intense games or having multiple windows open, these features will help a lot. You won’t have to worry about your room bursting into flames during an intense shoot-out.
The Zotac is a pretty small card, physically I mean. This means that you’re much more likely to be able to fit it into your computer case. If you’re PCs a bit smaller and you’re not sure you can fit a GPU in, you might be better off with this model.
The manufacturers recommend that you have a PSU of at least 400W to use this. The confusing thing is that some users report being able to use it with a 300W PSU without any problem. So it’s difficult to say one way or another and just depends on your PC. You could get this model if you’ve got a 300W PSU, but you might end up disappointed.
Zotac installation instructions are poor. This is a common theme, but was very telling on this model. Without prior experience installing GPUs you might find it difficult to get this working.

This card is a fantastic GPU from EVGA. It comes with a Base Clock rate of 1127 MHz, and 2GB of GDDR5. Users have reported they have no problem playing games like Fallout 4 at an excellent FPS using this GPU. This is phenomenal for the price we’re talking.
Comes with a nice, quiet cooler. So if you hate background noise while you’re in-game, you might prefer this model to cheaper but noisier alternatives. Not too big. This model is 6.8 inches long and so will fit in most cases fine, this is a real advantage if you’re struggling to fit new components in your old case.
Silent (actually just quieter) fans tend to do an excellent job of keeping the actual GPU cool. But also have the unfortunate habit of blowing hot air on the rest of your PC, and causing that to heat up.
If your PC tends to run hot anyway, you might want to consider a fan which is a bit louder but doesn’t heat up the rest of your computer. This is definitely one of the more expensive models in this price range.

Has excellent specs and easily the best in this price range. Comes with 4GB of GDDR5 RAM and a Boost Clock of 1256 MHz, although it’s not entirely clear what the base clock level is.
This card is very easy to install and doing so should be no problem, even for those with no experience.
You can get much better performance out of this card than you’d think considering the price. Not only is the card incredibly powerful, but it’s not even expensive for this price range. You can play much better games than you’d think.
You probably need at least 8GB of RAM to get the most out of this card. Otherwise, you’re just going to get frustrated by the rest of your system. If your PC has less RAM than this, then you might want to consider one of the other options. Either that or upgrade the other bottlenecks in order to compensate.
It has a load of color schemes which you can customize. I’m sure some people will enjoy this option but it seems a bit pointless to me. Add to that the fact that I’m sure it cost a decent amount of money to attach programmable LEDs and it just strikes me as a bit pointless for a budget GPU.
As you may have seen above, you can find a great GPU even if y
ou’re on a tight budget. Nowadays budget graphic cards can play a majority of games compared to some years ago, sure maybe you won’t be able to play on the ultra high settings, but you can still have a great gaming experience.
Besides the price, you will need to look at other important points before finding the perfect video card. The Memory, the processor, the different types of outputs and the interface. In the end, it all depends on your needs, but having more information never hurts.
