Best Gaming PC Under $1500

Looking to build a high-end gaming PC but you aren’t sure what kind of hardware you need? Then you are at the right place. In this article, I will show you what kind of components you need to build a powerful gaming PC who will run most recent games on high settings. Beware, if you’re on a tight budget, this build might not be for you.

As you may expect the parts in this PC are very strong, you will not have to worry about lag issues with this build. It is so powerful you will be able to play in 1440P, 144HZ, giving you an incredible gaming experience.

In this article, you will find high-end hardware, such as Gigabyte GTX 1080, 16GB of RAM, Intel 7th Gen Intel, an SSD hard drive and Tempered Glass gaming case, to show off your new gaming PC.

As I always mention in my PC build article, it is crucial you check hardware compatibility. It is essential before purchasing them.

Another quick mention before we start to build this monster. I have added an “extra” part at the end of the article. When it comes to PC gaming, besides the tower you need other accessories, keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc. Keep in mind these accessories to not enter our 1500$ budget, if you decide to purchase them, then you will go over budget.

Best Gaming PC Under $1500

Phanteks PH-EC416PTG_BR Eclipse P400

To start off our list. The elegant Phanteks tower case. This gaming case is very elegant with its “Tempered Glass” you can see the inside of your computer. This is a mid-tower case, that means there’s a good amount of room for your hardware and cable management. This case has RGB lighting preinstalled with three settings, breathing, static and rainbow, which adds to the “coolness” of the case.

Very easy to install, even if it’s your first PC build, this model has most of the required nuts, bolts and screws to install your components. This model is magnificent regarding cooling. It comes with two 120 MM fan and plenty of space to add more. Plus this model supports water cooling if you’re into that. Seven expansion slots, 2 x USB 3.0 / Mic / Headphone, a lot of room for extra hard drives & SSD. Overall a fantastic case for the price.

The perfect motherboard for our build. The Gigabyte GA gives us what we need to build this PC. It features a great integrated audio chipset and a magnificent built-in ethernet controller. This model has plenty of SATA port for additional storage place, it also can support a ridiculous 64GB amount of ram, which is not necessary but it’s a cool bonus.

This motherboard support Intel 6th gen and 7th gen processors which give a large range of CPU compatibility. This model offers 6x USB 3.0 ports, 1x USB 3.1 port, and support for a 2-way SLI config, making it a perfect fit for our build.

Intel 7th Gen Intel Core Desktop Processor i7-7700K

A very strong CPU for a very strong gaming PC. The Intel 7th Gen, Socket LGA 1151, is a pricey CPU, but it’s one of the best you can find for the price. Kaby Lake, Quad-Core with 8 threads. Great for overclocking, with a Max Turbo Frequency of 4.20 GHz. What could you possibly ask more?

Even under heavy load, this CPU doesn’t overheat, which is perfect for gaming, this model even comes with a heatsink and a fan. Yes, this one cost a small fortune, but for the power, it offers you will not be disappointed.

Graphics Card

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080

Did you ever hear the expression “Go big or go home?” well that’s what I did with the graphic card. The GeForce GTX 1080 is a freaking beast. This monster can play everything on highest settings at 1080 on 60fps, plus it can run most games on 4k. Stays silent and cool under heavy load, which is great for gaming.

Very easy to overclock, able to smoothly run a VR, has three fans, superb quality build. Last but not least this model has 16.8M customizable color options and numerous lighting effects, you could now choose the right scheme for your gaming rig, especially with our windowed gaming case.

Power Supply

EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2, 80+ GOLD 650W

For the power supply, I decide to pick something simple that will run on 650w. The Evga superNova 650w is more than enough to power up all your components in your PC, plus the ones you might add in the future. This PSU is a fully modular model, which means that it comes with no cables pre-attached. You only attach the ones you need, giving your more options.

What I like about this PSU is the Heavy-duty protections, including OVP (Over Voltage Protection), UVP (Under Voltage Protection), OCP (Over Current Protection), OPP (Over Power Protection), and SCP (Short Circuit Protection), great power supply for the price.

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB)

I decided to go with Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz. To be honest, you won’t need more than 16 GB. Most games will run with 8GB or less. Having 16 GB of RAM is only to “future proof” your gaming rig, as video games will become more demanding in the future. Plus you have room to add even more if you ever need more RAM.

I decide to go with DDR4 as well since it’s almost the same price has DDR3. The reason for that is the same I always write in my articles it’s to “future proof” your computer. Technology hasn’t found a way to fully exploit DDR4 type of RAM, but when they do, you won’t have to switch it because you already have that type of RAM.

Internal Hard Drive

WD Blue 1TB SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM 64MB

When it comes to internal hard drive, I always go with the WD Blue 1TB. This is the best one you can find for the price. Plus you do not need more than 1Tb of storage room. I’m a hardcore gamer, and I have around the same amount of space, I have ten games installed on my comp. When I’m done with one, I delete it and install a new one.

If you are the type of gamer to rotate between A LOT of games, I mean 20+ games. You can always go over budget and buy more storage space, but for this build, we will respect the 1500$.

Internal Solid State Drive

Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III

What kind of high-end gaming PC would it be without an SSD? Plus I’m a big fan of SSD’s, so I included one in this build. The Samsung 850 EVO 250GB is the perfect SSD for your gaming needs. Easy to install, vert fast, silent, endurance, reliability, energy Efficiency, and a 5-Year Limited Warranty.

250GB is not much. I’d recommend installing your Operation system on it and a couple of games. Do not install too many things on it, because it will slow it down, and that is not what we want. Nothing stops you from purchasing one with more space on it, but I choose this one to respect our budget.

CPU Cooling Fan

CRYORIG H7 Tower Cooler For AMD/Intel CPU’s

The CPU in this list contains a fan, but having more Cooling is never a bad thing right? Since we have a good amount of money for our build, I decide to include a fan for some more cooling. The Cryorig H7 is a great CPU cooling fan for the price.

Unfortunately, your gaming tower isn’t the only thing you need to play your favorite video games. You will need PC accessories such as a mouse, a keyboard, a monitor, a headset, a mousepad and a gaming chair.

In the section below you will find my top picks for each. Some of them are kind of pricey, but I want gamers to fully experience this build with high-quality accessories. Keep in mind these are extras. They do not enter our 1500$ budget, if you decide to purchase them, you will go over budget.

BenQ ZOWIE 24 inch Full HD Gaming Monitor

To start off our list of accessories we have the BenQ ZOWIE 24 inch Full HD Gaming Monitor. An excellent monitor for gaming. A very nice 24-inch screen 1080p, amazing 1ms response time and a resolution of 1920×1080, making it a great monitor for the price.

This model offers multiple display modes, Optimized presets for RTS, FPS, & Fighting game modes, allowing the user to set it to their preferred taste. This model offers Dual HDMI ports, DVI-D, D-Sub, and Headphone Jack/Line-in ports). What I love about this screen is the multi-platform compatibility, if you’re like me and have consoles and PC, you will be able to use it on both.

Razer BlackWidow Chroma, Clicky RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

A keyboard is an important piece of PC gaming, so I decided to go with a high-quality one. The Razer Blackwidow Chroma. I’ve had one for three years now and It still working perfectly fine. At first look, this keyboard looks amazing, with all its colors. In fact, this model offers 16.8 million customizable color options. You can switch the colors to match your gaming PC.

This keyboard is made out of quality material making it very sturdy and long lasting. Even the keys have a 60 million keystroke life span, 60 million is a huge number. 10 key roll-over anti-ghosting. My favorite option is the fully programmable keys with on-the-fly macro recording. As a big MMORPG fan, I love having the freedom to remap keys and create macros for quick access to my abilities/spells.

Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum RGB

Logitech G502 is an amazing gaming mouse. Advanced optical gaming sensor making it accurate and responsive optical sensor precisely translates hand movements onscreen. Even if its, not the same brand as the keyboard this mouse has an RGB customizable lighting of over 16.8 million colors. This model offers a lot of customization, from buttons to lighting, to weight shifting.

Very comfortable even after several hours of gameplay. Another great feature is the On-the-fly DPI switching, make the right moves in any game situation with up to 5 DPI settings from 200 to 12,000 DPI, great for FPS games. This mouse is fantastic for the price. You will not be disappointed.

HyperX KHX-H3CL/WR Cloud Gaming Headset

Audio is an imperative part of gaming. Communication is equally important, especially if you’re playing online with a team. So I decided to go with a safe bet and picked the HyperX KHX headset. Many streamers, even pro e-sports player use this particular headset when they play video games. Plus the price is very affordable.

Extremely comfortable lightweight headset with leatherette memory foam ear cups and an extra set of velour ear cups. Over-the-Ear Headphone with Noise isolating ear cups and detachable microphone. With a crystal clear sound and microphone quality. On top of all that it is compatible with a lot of platforms, so you can use it on other things.

Razer Sphex V2 – Ultra Thin Polycarbonate Gaming Mouse Mat

There’s a lot of good options when it comes to mouse pads. It all depends on your preferred taste. Since we have a Razer keyboard, I decide to pick a Razer mousepad. This model is very good looking with different colors on it. Approximate size : 355 mm / 14 in (Length) x 254 mm / 10 in (Width) x 0.5 mm / 0.02 in (Height) making it perfect for any desk sizes.

Innovative adhesive enables you to attach and remove it easily, making it the perfect accessory anywhere you go. This model is made out of polycarbonate for maximum durability and optimized tracking quality for laser and optical mice

Gaming Chair

DXRacer FH08/NG Formula Series Racing Bucket Seat Office Chair

This chair is a little bit pricey, but when it comes to gaming chair, I find it vital to have good support. Sitting for extended periods of time on something that is not comfortable is not good, and might lead to back pain in the future. Do like I did, invest a small amount of money in a high-quality gaming chair.

The DXRacer will offer you the right support for you. Ergonomic design with more efficient and comfortable, plus a bonus headrest cushion & lumbar support cushion. My favorite part of this chair is the extra high backrest, on top of offering neck and spine support it brings an elegant look to the chair. You can even tilt the chair when you want to take a break from those intense online matches.

This concludes our list of best gaming PC under $1500. As you may have seen above this build is pretty strong. You will not have to worry about running these games on high settings. I have no doubt in my mind this machine will let you play most recent AAA games and even the ones to come, you can even play the VR on this baby.

What is great about this build is if you want to add even more hardware in your PC, nothing will stop your from upgrading it, has there is a lot of free space for more hardware. With a PC this strong you won’t need it, believe me.
